When (in my enthusiastic youth pre-children, pre-serious job pre-everything really) I used to attempt to spin. I used love carding, that scrunchy noise as the carder goes through the fleece and makes contact with the carding cloth below. I loved how the fleece went from lumpy and clumpy to lovely usable tops, then I would completely ruin all my hard work by spinning!!
hi heather, i hadn't noticed that before, but now all i can see is a big pile of mashed potato! :)
hi kate, there is something quite satisfying about it isn't there? i still don't have the knack of a drop spindle so i really would be ruining my hard work! :)
