still busy ...

rinsing these lovely beads and canes today
i can't believe how quickly the time is going this year - how can it be june already?! and there never seems to be enough hours in the day! although, i'm not really complaining, it would be much worse to be bored :)

the felt bead fairy has left the building

a few weeks ago i finally got the knack of making lovely felt beads (i'm know this is probably a really basic technique but until then, i'd really struggled with it) and so chuffed was i that i made them until i practically wore a hole in my hands.

imagine my dismay on discovering that the felt bead fairy must be on holiday today as i've now made three mis-shapen, lumpy beads in a row!

time for a break perhaps :)

and some time to figure out where i'm going wrong!

summer ...

so, as well as creating a mountain of felt items for my next stall, i've also managed ...

a lovely long weekend break with mum in york, the weather was gorgeous, the flowers were in full bloom and i think we did everything there was to do and see in york

york

a trip to fort william with m and his friend g, they took part in 10 under the ben while i performed pit supervisor duties (sat in the sun mostly!) on the hottest day of the year so far

to spend some time gardening - our veg plots seem to be taking priority over our flower garden this year
